Night train

The aim of the project was to optimise luggage storage, with a special focus on the requirements of night-time travellers, and to speed up passenger flow at operationally critical stations as part of considerations for new night trains.

Project description: Specific proposals for the storage of luggage on night trains were developed for a European night train operator and optimised with regard to passenger behaviour. Not only were issues such as proper stowage and passenger requests such as night-time access to luggage addressed, but measures to reduce passenger changeover times were also developed for operationally critical stations where dwell times must be very short during peak hours.
