Luggage evaluation German Railway

For DB-Fernverkehr the luggage volume and the related passenger behaviour in passenger trains of Deutsche Bahn AG will be evaluated in order to be able to derive recommendations for vehicles.

Project description: Accurate luggage data collection and related passenger behaviour evaluations will be carried out on all relevant train types of DB Fernverkehr AG on the network of DB Fernverkehr AG. The observations enable exact statements to be made about passenger behaviour with regard to seat selection and luggage accommodation. These statements allow analogies to other vehicle types including new vehicles, and provide an essential basis for efficient interior design and space allocation of luggage storage facilities.
