German Railway 5 (future HSR trains)

The aim of the study was to evaluate layouts designed by DB for possible future HSR trains. The analysis was carried out with regard to the possibilities for luggage accommodation, the achievable passenger exchange time and the theoretically achievable degree of utilisation.

Project description: Proposed layouts of possible future high-speed trains of DB-AG were evaluated with regard to the possibilities for luggage accommodation, the achievable passenger exchange time and the theoretically achievable degree of utilisation. Based on the evaluations, recommendations were made to improve the luggage accommodation and to reduce the passenger exchange time.
