The aim of the study was to evaluate the proposed passenger coaches for the new DB-AG long-distance trains (now ICE3 neo) with regard to the possibilities for luggage storage, the achievable dwell time and the theoretically achievable seat occupancy rate.

Project description: Proposed passenger coaches for the new long-distance trains of the DB-AG (now ICE 3 neo) were evaluated with regard to the possibilities for luggage storage, the achievable dwell time and the theoretically achievable degree of seat utilisation. Based on the evaluations, recommendations were made to improve luggage accommodation and reduce dwell time.
