The aim of the project was to optimise ongoing concept considerations regarding passenger flow, passenger changeover time and optimal capacity utilisation during the design phase of new Deutsche Bahn S-Bahn trains.

Project description: Ongoing concept considerations for new suburban trains in the concept phase were evaluated and optimised with regard to passenger flow, passenger changeover time, luggage storage and optimal utilisation. The optimisations specifically included issues of accessibility, increased luggage volumes to airports, and the transport of bicycles and prams.
