The aim of the study was to evaluate the proposed passenger carriage layout design for newly designed leasing vehicles for long-distance and regional transport by the company ace4rail in terms of luggage storage options, achievable passenger changeover time and the expected utilisation rate based on customer behaviour.

Project description: Proposed passenger carriage layout designs for the newly designed leasing vehicles of the company ace4rail for long-distance and regional transport were evaluated in terms of luggage storage options, achievable passenger changeover time and the expected ocupancy rate based on customer behaviour. Based on the evaluations, recommendations were made for optimising luggage storage, accelerating passenger flow and thus shortening passenger changeover times for boarding and alighting scenarios with different numbers of passengers.
